In part because they can't marvel at the fact that I do not have to tune into a TV at 6:30 every night to get a weather forecast.

You know the old quip from the McLuhan circle: "I don't know who discovered water, but it wasn't a fish." (revived in David Foster Wallace, "This is Water")

I think the problem is that below a certain age, they don't know there's water.
