Multilingual and/or international - the best approach?

etc

But also with the flag thing in the upper corner.

has this ccTLD gained much traction?  Has it become normal for US users to see .us domains?

I assumed .com was still the norm for most US sites.

Given the choice for an international strategy, would you choose .com or .us for your US site?

I'd go for the .com anytime anywhere. .US seems fishy to me.

me too - I know Google say they assume .com is international, but .us sounds like a spam domain.
