Since SEO was deemed evil by the lunatic population of the web, people have been bending over backwards to sell SEO without calling it SEO.  I can't help but laugh at this sometimes, so I thought I'd start a thread to post any good examples you see.  The obvious one is:

Inbound Marketer    (Makes be cringe a bit that.  I always picture an Ad man in an arrivals lounge).

Today though I spotted a beaut.  I was followed on twitter by a company who describe themselves as:

Digital Visibility Consultants

Has anyone got others?

Gurtie

I was introduced to a team of 'digital outreach experts' the other day, who I believe were link builders, but they looked horrified and said "no, we're relationship builders" when I mentioned it.

and 'digital PR agencies'. blah.

Heh, if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, walks like a duck...

Spammers who just haven't gotten the memo.   ::)

From a different angle - I just got back from a Drupal conference. Not long ago, the Drupal community didn't care at all about SEO. Now there are SEO sessions, exhibitors and modules and they don't call themselves "inbound marketing modules".

I think in the wider world that is not marketing or anti-marketing, but just trying to build a successful and quality site, "SEO" is actually more highly regarded than a few years ago. Most of these people do not think SEO = content farm, they think SEO = canonicalization.
