They have backpack mounted cameras that have done Street View images of a climb up Mt. Fuji and thousands of indoor business shots to catch up with in Japan. They are really going to have to do a lot of work to get even close.

That is probably right. Many never use street view or remember it is there. But a person that just paid over $600 for a phone wants it to have all the bells and whistles.

Exactly. I also think that this sort of thing is more of an issue for Apple than other manufacturers.  They have worked very hard to be seen as being the best (whether that is true or not) and missing features are harder to paper over than poor features. With poor ones you just add more gimmicks until people stop noticing.

Good time to make sure your address is correct in Apple Maps and, if not, get to Maps Connect and update. We had two properties where the Apple Maps location was an hour's drive from the actual location. It took a couple of weeks to update.
