Duckduckgo search engine has grown 600% since Apple added them as an option on mobile Safari and Safari in OS X.

I read in another article that their traffic is now at 3 billion searches a year.  Okay so Google does that in a day.  But still DDG keeps growing fast instead of shrinking.

Yep their growth shows a nice upward trend, but it would take a very long time to get up to an appreciable level of all search traffic

I'd worry that their data sources pull the rug with more growth.

BoL I agree.  We know DDG already has a crawler but nobody knows what it is used for.  If I were them I would be preparing for the day when I had to crawl for my own index.  I suspect they are but, of course, no proof.

I use DDG because it is NOT EVIL, at this time  8)

Still use G for Maps

Yeah, it's hard to totally get rid of Google, although I've just downloaded Waze and might download Mapquest apps.

Still I use, Google Calendar and Google Contacts because they seem to sync with all platforms: Android, iOS, webOS, BB.  And I say that only after Yahoo's calendar failed spectacularly a few years back.

I've been using DDG for a while now, but I see little hint of them in my server logs. I do wish they had more presence, but they're growing.
