Note 4 instead of Ipad

I can say this.  A 5.5 or bigger screen on the phone will probably replace my 7 inch tablet.  It's amazing how much more readable this screen is compared to a 5", at least for me.

Right, some comparos:

LG G4

1. Lightning fast compared to my Blackberry Z30

2. Screen is bright and stunning.

3. I agree with the CNet review.  It's a good solid phone but not an "Oh, wow!" stunning phone. But then priced cheaper than other flagships.

4. Not as good looking as the iPhone 6Plus or the Note 4.  I got the plastic back which is butt ugly but I put a cover over it so you can't see that.  The leather backs look great, but most of the cases say they don't fit the leather back G4's. Sigh.

5. Not as many cases available to choose from compared to the Iphone and Note 4.  More than the BB Z30, however.

I've got it fairly well de-Googled and siloed.  Yahoo Aviate replaces all the Google search boxes with Yahoo search boxes.  Default browser is Firefox with DDG set up as default search engine.

Famous last words: This will tide me over until either an Ubuntu Touch phone comes out or Apple comes out with their own search engine for iPhone.  I don't want to get stuck beta testing either.

I don't think good looks had much to do with our decision to go with N4. Then again, maybe NFFC has had more impact on me than I realize.  We were going for screen size & resolution to replace tablets and laptops most of the day. It does that.  After all my feeling strange about giving voice commands to a desktop, I have to say the swype keyboard works so well at text conversion that I can tell that it will eventually be the way I use the phone.  This is particularly impressive given my Southern drawl.

>swype

Do you utilize the stylus with this?

rcjordan

Only when i am seated and think the entry will be more than a few words.  I do not use the swype motions. Louise does the motions and raves about it. I'm defaulting to voice entry more and more.

This is a big barrier for me, I can't get used to talking to an inanimate object.  If I spent a lot of time traveling in a car I think I could change this but most of the time I can tap out something in Evernote.

Me, as well. That's why I keep mentioning it as a significant feature. I do NOT use the stock android/goog voice commands at all. But voicing a quick text field input is quicker/lazier than punching the keyboard. It's seductive.

I got to say, I'm impressed this is the 1st spam I've seen on here :)
