DDG is adding directions to it's search engine and you get your choice of which map app it uses: Apple, Bing, Here, OpenStreetMap or Google maps.

12 years ago I would have been shocked if there would be basically one search engine with 80% of the market and then MS taking the bulk of what is left.  I would be thrilled if DDG got a substantial user base.  Apple should have started a search engine long ago.
