Live HTTP Headers for Chrome labelled as malware - injecting ads

This actually first got noticed in November, but I finally came across it myself. Live HTTP Headers for Chrome is now labelled as malware by Google because it was injecting interstitial ads.

When you go to remove it, it shows one last ad for something (Oprah weight loss thing in my case, but liposuction ads in others).

If you go to the Google Play page for the extension, you'll see that it's now 404.

Firefox version seems unaffected.

That's too bad Live HTTP Headers is really a useful tool.   I use an older  FF version and have had no reason to update.

As browser built-in tools get better, it's less necessary. It's a bit more convenient, but it's easy to see the headers in the Developer Tools of Chrome

Got the FF version. As you say ergophobe, the built in browser tools provide pretty much all that this plugin does.

Some variants do provide all requests by the browser though, including plugins whereas others are only concerned with the focused tab.

only concerned with the focused tab.

I believe the Chrome version is associated with whichever tab you open it from, whether it currently has the focus or not.
