EU's Tusk warns of risks in rise of U.S. tech giants

The world needs to be wary of the rise of tech giants such as Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon, comparing their powers to those of countries such as China, European Council President Donald Tusk said in Warsaw on Friday.

U.S. politicians on both sides of the aisle are Chicken $hit when it comes to this issue.
The lobby money is all they care about.

While I would agree lobbying as it is today is the core issue, I think our politicians are too far behind the technical curve to grasp the basics of what is going on with anything Internet, let alone any nuance.

It's looking like we won't recover until we get guys who grew up with phones/tablets (or close to it) and by then it'll be far too late.
