I read an article yesterday about a vacuum cleaner manufacturer that was contacted by the gov't somewhere.  At first they thought it was a joke but it turned out to be legit.  They don't know much about medicine but they know air flow real good.  So they are trying to prototype a respirator, to specs, that can be made with commonly available parts almost anywhere in the world.

Maybe they will come up with something.
