That's a very smart thing to do.  I think a light and a pocket knife are two very good things to always have on you.

I've been sitting on an electric bike build I've been wanting to do.  This next year though I am going to be concentrating on modifying a car I have in the garage.

Yes the 74 Datsun Z, but it is already modified.  I am keeping the 350CI (5.7L) V8, but I'm making the car manual again.  Nothing too fancy, probably just a T5 out of a Camaro.  I just think a small car with a big engine needs a proper manual transmission.

Have you looked into getting an essences/aromas kit?

For a while we were in a group with two people studying for their sommelier exam. In order to defray the rather substantial costs of tasting enough wines to really learn your regions and such, they formed a sort of club. About 15 people I think. Everyone would kick in money and then they would be able to buy some expensive bottles and taste, say, six wines from a given region.

Let's say there were six wines and three different scents - black currant, leather and cherry - if you smell the scents then taste the wines, it's way easier to pick them out. In other words, you smell leather, black currant and cherry, then you pour the six wines, then you taste them all and I could easily identify the overtones whereas without priming my sniffer, I wouldn't be able to identify them at all.

I'm not really into wine and don't drink much, but that made it really fun... I don't know whether they actually passed the sommelier exam or not.
