I want an actual dealer nearby and a dealer network for whatever brand of EV I buy.

More than a few reports in EV forums that dealerships & their mechanics don't know jackshit about EVs.  One guy drove 5-ish hours to the nearest mechanic certified on his vehicle.

There are so many Teslas here locally, I'm going to guess the service is better if you live in the Bay Area where they actually have factory stores.

Maybe, but I have yet to meet a Tesla owner who isn't proud of owning a Tesla and happy with the car and who shrugs off the inconveniences as being worth it

Steve Wozniak would be an exception - he prefers his Chevy Bolt except for trips where he needs the Tesla's range.

I used to say the same about Apple users  ;)  The brand was "CR-apple"

They turned out OK. So there is hope (or not)  Not sure I want the likes of Mr Musk to have more power and money.
