QuoteThe focus for the future of Mozilla -- according to Mozilla -- is primarily based around Artificial Intelligence services.

Of course it does.

I hate it when not for profits start acting like commercial enterprises.

IMHO, Mozilla has made 15 years of mostly bad decisions with Firefox.  Hopefully somebody will fork FF before they pull the plug.

Hitching on to the most trendy tech as a Hail Marry.  Developing AI is one thing, but path to income is a totally different thing.  I never understood why companies (non profit or not) like Mozilla and Mac never leveraged their captive audiences to develop their own search.  I know Mozilla was was/is on a life line from Google, but they could have done so much with it.  Mac is even more baffling.

I ran across this browser today:

Floorp is built on Firefox and was built in Japan and is a new browser with excellent privacy & flexibility.

I've been playing with a very minimalistic and privacy oriented browser called BadWolf lately.  It is Linux only and definitely not for everybody, JavaScript has to be enabled every time you use it.  I like it because it has relatively few dependencies for an HTML5 compatible browser.  It is going to be featured in a project I am working on.

Floorp gets compared to Vivaldi in that it's highly customizable and it has features.

Ergo, Arc is completely new to me.  Nice find.

LM, I've heard of Badwolf somewhere hopefully it will work for your project.

I suspect that someone organization will pick up the code and run with it if Mozilla stops development.  We can't live in a world where 99.999% of the browsers are powered by the same engine that's controlled by Google.
