Help wanted : Website suggestions

I'm looking for some examples of genuinely good/interesting/useful geographic community / information sites.  City websites are fine, but mostly looking for those representing smaller/mid-sized communities such as towns, villages & city districts.

Have you looked at local newspaper sites?  In the US those are often the community portals.
