Rupert

I was reading an engineering mag this morning.  Found this stuff.

http://sugru.com/

Just amazing.  If you like duck tap, this is, dare I say it, better...?

Ok different.

Just sticky rubber putty that you can use for making rubberized feet for your Macbook, or making a 14 pin plug, or repairing your shoes, or... well anything really.

It seems to stick to anything.  They spent 9000 hours developing it.

I am already thinking of uses.  That annoying drum from my fish tank air pump... solved. A favourite pair of shoes that leak. Fixing a dodgy cable on my bike lights( using glue at the mo, but want to try this stuff now.)

ah, whatever.  If you love to fix stuff, have a peek.

Am I the only one who knows it's actually called 'Duct tape,' not 'duck tape?'

It looks pretty handy.  I wonder how closely related this stuff is to polymer clay?

bill

It's "duct tape" as far as I know...

I could see myself becoming addicted to this stuff and covering everything with it. I need to be kept away.

Depends on the Brand you buy I think Heather.  Had to check myself!

I'm buying some.  I used to have a milliput habit & this stuff is better.  Bring on the bodge!

My Sugru arrived.  I'm busy breaking stuff now.  I'll report back

Really good packaging for the post as well.  The envelope nudges you to start using the stuff and report back on their website.

I'm looking forward to a photo gallery of your progress. This stuff has me intrigued.
