Huge news.  Its interesting that he dies right after Christopher Hitchens.  The first thing that came to mind  when I heard the news was the way Hitchens compared N. Korea to hell

All social media, at least my streams, are polluted with this news (and a few Hitchens messages mixed in). It has made me resort to forums. ;)

fingers crossed the new leader doesn't feel the need to prove how powerful he is by attacking Japan.

It's a great day. Having lived in Japan for four years I couldn't help but read zillions of articles about the little runt. Truly one of the nastiest dictators in modern times. Sadly, nothing will probably change in the immediate future, but there is always a chance of revolution when a power vaccuum occurs and I just hope someone senior in the North Korean army has the courage to challenge the status quo and lead a revolt.
