dumb or a highly sneaky facebook ploy?

So obviously feedback is 'you have to be kidding'.

But... if you want a load of diversified likes for your FB page, wouldn't it be a cool thing to get a lot of unconnected people to click on a button which likes you? And.... if selling an advertising product which currently has only one taker, where are people going to click? Hmm.
