A friend of mine has a production of head phones and other gear and have been running their online store from a .dk domain - in english. However they are asking if I think switching to a .com would make sense in relation to branding and increased sales in the US?

Eg. would an American be wary shopping on a .dk (in English)?

Thanks chaps!
Even though they can't get the .com version, they have other options for .com

I'd consider having them get the .de, too . Market the .com to US as scandanavian-german tech but let the US users peek somehow at the non-english sites  --we're suckers for that german tech & scan design bullshit.
