Note that in PPC there's often quite a spread between what you bid for the click and what you actually have to pay.

So you might bid $50.79 but not have to pay anywhere near that.

In my work it's common for the cost of a click to be half of what we're bidding, sometimes less.

What makes the difference is having an ad that attracts more clicks than the other guys.
