Am I the only one of this opinion? I hate the card-style trend, Godaddy's is even worse.

>only one of this opinion?

No. It sucks. Bigtime.

I don't usually mind card-style, but I don't like it on Gnews. Seems to waste a lot of space.

Same

Your post mostly served to remind me that Google News exists and that I haven't gone there in a very, very long time.

I generally like cards also, but that is ugly.

Yeah, I'm not into the format that much either.  I haven't tried it on my phone yet, but it does seem to waste a lot of space on my desktop.  It might be the nostalgia in me, but I actually really like the layout in the NYT, it is reminiscent of a real print paper.  In my mind news should be black and white and in simple tables without visible borders.

OK, card style isn't the only problem; they're mixing in sports and celebrity bullshit in the "Top Stories" section.  I had to rewrite Tampermonkey scripts for the new site just to filter that crap out.

At least it doesn't look like Pinterest.  Pinterest is the most overwhelming thing I've ever seen.  It's like walking through Hobby Lobby Hell.

Not liking the new mobile search results layout at all.
