What are y'all doing to stay busy during shelter-in-place?

I binged "Tiger King" on Netflix. Seven episode documentary. I couldn't stop watching and I think a lot of folks here would enjoy it. (For mature audiences.)

Taking a Udemy course on Fusion 360 (CAD software).

Running more - personal theory that aerobic/mitochondrial conditioning would be helpful if infected with COVID19.

I keep thinking that I would like to brush up on my programming skills and Spanish, but so far I'm not doing that.

I've been binging on audiobooks, currently listening to some speeches and essays by Martin Luther King Jr.. Powerful stuff!

My iPad plus a set of Bose wireless headphones are a much-used combo these days.

As I listen I've been cleaning, mending, baking, all sorts of odd jobs. Mostly maintenance tasks so far, but I have ideas for some new creative projects. It's almost like the nesting instinct that comes late in pregnancy!

I'm finding it tough to get motivated for website work but at least I have worked out a to-do list.

I've been teaching this guy a couple of things. Now that he's finally starting to show some promise ;-)

Huge amount of talking on the phone. Now that so many people have time on their hands, they are calling. And there are some friends and family I worry about getting lonely (my father lives alone), so trying to call more.

Also walking/skiing in the neighborhood, snow shoveling, cooking more, some TV but noticing the percentage of things on Netflix or Prime that are dystopian or (usually and) violent. Having trouble finding "fun" things to watch.

I'd like to find a game to addict me.  Local only. Windows or chromebook, preferably both.  FPS might work, but I don't like quests or cartoonish graphics.  Minecraft bores me. Maybe a a driving game.

Travoli

Local only games are tough to find these days.

Did a zoom and beers session last night. Was really good. Recommend

Hell we could even do one.

Yes, my brother is organizing family Zoom time.

My budding photographer daughter is doing course work, without leaving the house.

Logging a tree.
Shutting down everything I can to reduce outgoings.
Watching Dads army. (Seen it before, but Daughters favourite. light English humour)
Watching Darling Buds of May. (Again very old light humour. nothing Dark or dystopian)
Walking.
Eating too much.
Reading Robin Hobbs. (not enough, if you like fantasy and have not read her work, its good imho)
Family Zoom. (Yes, agree its great)
Starting work on a veg garden.
Volunteered for the NHS support.
In the local help group, so started doing bits of shopping for the vulnerable, inc my Mum.
Loads of phone time.
General house maintenance.

That last one is something that needs doing, and has been neglected for the last 3 years. Planning a new Shed. I built a small one last year, from packing cases. A chap from Gumtree supplied the design and the wood.  so I am planning a bigger one. I need to work out the size and shape, and he delivers it with the drawings.  He cannot deliver at present, but he can quote and start getting it ready for me  .

I know we are so lucky to have space about. 2 of my nieces are holed up in flats... with their boyfriends fortunately, all trying to work in different ways. Sue is also helping Lucy with her degree. I read what I am allowed.

We are still working in the great state of SC, and signing new business, somehow. (Everyone has their own office and we are distancing in the conference room. No handshakes, etc.)

Aside from that, I opened the pool this weekend. (Up to 68 F yesterday, you ready?) I should have all motorcycles serviced and ready to go in record time. Finally going to tweak some things in the home theater I've been looking at. If I'm lucky the ground is dry enough to rip through the woods behind the house for a bit.
