Buffleheads are here on their way through.  Small flock feeding just beyond the sandbar.

We saw the first willow buds in the last few days... still could be a lot of winter to go though.

When they're coming through here, the males are high-contrast white & black --very penguin-y looking.  Buffleheads are dive-dippers and very animated feeders. Fun to watch.
