I *almost* bought a Zundapp KS750 with my 16 yr old money.  This is the ONE time that Debbie told me that this machine would most definitely kill me. Every other time, she'd say "Go ahead, I'll hold your jacket." 

....I still wish I'd bought it.

Interesting. I never really thought about why the German army was always shown in movies as having those ridiculous sidecars.

One of the paradoxes is that the 16 year olds who should be disqualified from owning a powerful street bike are any of them that want them.

Still... did you look at and of the Danny McCaskill videos? If you're risk tolerance is high enough, I think you can get pretty dead on a bicycle too.

I got pretty close to dead a few times on my bikes, then I moved up to hydroplanes at 13.  ...And got REALLY close.

Ha! Sure.

I guess for me, most of the times I almost got myself killed there was no vehicle involved at all. Just hands, feet and questionable judgement.

I'm sure you've heard the following, popular in the military: You can die in three weeks without food, three days without water, three minutes without air, three seconds without paying attention. That's pretty true for mountaineering as well.
