Waffle Houses in Kansas City area are closed due to storm

I've been seeing vids on Twitter of people trying to walk/drive on the ice early this morning.  Fighting freezing rain is the worse thing.

No ice or rain (yet) here on the coast but we're having week-long lows in the mid-20s and highs in the 40s.  & breezy.

...and we still have a couple of hummingbirds wintering here.  PITA having to micro-manage the feeder to keep it from freezing.  I'm thinking of adding a shot of Makers Mark, hhh.

Haven't had that since the guy (don't remember his name) brought a couple of bottles to Pubcon. Yikes, that stuff will keep 'em warm.
