Bezos' AI shopper aid is good, really good.

- Looking for the prompt:Best Value among a crowd of similar food products? Tell Rufus to find it.

- You've settled on a brand of milk frothers but the brand has a large matrix of options and colors and uses stupidly named colors: Mimosa, Twilight, etc.  Rufus, find Zulay gift box series in GRAY. Ding! There's the link.

Well done, Bezos! Well done.

Rufus helped me save $4000 today.

I hope that wasn't $1 on each purchase.

Also, you only saved $4000 if you were definitely buying that thing regardless of cost.

I knew that would draw a post, hhh. Postbait.

PollyAnna has a nerve or tendon problem in her foot. She's having trouble at DisneyW while there with my daughter & 2 grandkids.   (They walked 17,242 steps Saturday --down from their usual 20k steps in a DW day. They have annual passes.)

She saw this EuroScooter ($5k)
https://euroshine.com/pages/euro-scooter
The gentleman at DW said the battery is in a pouch in the front basket & comes out to charge.

I was particularly interested in the front-mount or easily removable battery for security and also more convenient charging in a hotel room.  But I also knew of some problems with mobility scooters, 3-wheel vs 4, seats, how well it folds, but the killer was weight. The above model weighs 90 pounds.

I used Amz's AI Rufus to plow through the crapload of scooters to see if there was a lighter, folding 4-wheeler with a removable battery & good reviews that would work better.

The battery just drops into a well under the floor mat.  Might even go on a plane trip. I bought an extra 18 ah battery, bringing it to $1100 delivered.

A $1000 mistake is better than a $5000 mistake.

<+>

I jumped on this today because -prior to this trip- I had *STRONGLY SUGGESTED* that PollyAnna rent a scooter at DW ...but NOooo I don't need it.

So when she sent me the pix of one...

OT

So, I'm now addicted to that Boon Chili Sauce mentioned in the Picky Eater thread.  Travoli informs me that the next delivery date is in March.  Looking at the bottle that is now half-gone in a week, this is serious.  I'll put in an order to get on the waiting list but I need another source --hopefully cheaper. This stuff is $2.50 an ounce.

RC:
Comparing the three in my cart, which is the most similar ingredients to Boon

Ruf:
Looking at your cart, the S&B Chili Oil with Crunchy Garlic is most similar to Boon in terms of shared ingredients:

Similarities with Boon Sauce:

Garlic (both feature prominent garlic presence)
Oil base (both chili oil foundations)
    Chili peppers (core spicy component)

Key Differences:

S&B uses corn oil, sesame oil, and includes sesame seeds, almonds, and soy sauce powder
Boon uses canola oil with anchovies, fennel, and prickly ash for umami depth
Momofuku adds black truffle and focuses on crunchy texture

The S&B shares the essential garlic-forward chili oil profile, though Boon's anchovy umami is unique in your cart selection.

RC:
Is there anything on amazon that is more closely like Boon?

Ruf:
Yes (lists 4-5, 2 of them are just Boon with different heat.)

RC:
of these, which is the best value

Ruf:
Looking at the price per ounce, here are the best value options from those similar to Boon:

Best Value: FLYBYJING Sichuan Chili Crisp

    $9.98 for 6oz = $1.66/oz
Features preserved black bean for deep umami like Boon's anchovies
Premium Sichuan ingredients with similar complexity

Close Second: Tean Gourmet Crispy Anchovy Chili

    $14.95 for 11.29oz = $1.32/oz
Contains actual anchovies like Boon (closest ingredient match)
    Great value for the quantity

RC:
add the above Tean Gourmet Crispy to my cart
