We were running a 10-inch rain deficit (18/28) ...until the last 7-8 days.  Supposed to get another 2" tonight. On top of 2" two days ago, on top of 2" four days ago, on top of 1.5" six days ago...

We're pool table flat, so no flash floods.

And slow floods?

That is, are you worried or is it draining off?

No problems other than low areas such as houses built on or near filled creek beds (usually very old areas of town). Some parts of the town have pumps that run all the time, so their streets might have spots 6-18" deep.

Out in the country there are a very few creeks and shallow gullies that might send water across a road but these are not going to be white-water torrents. The big, flat fields can overflow the ditches and roads but they're broad, flat run-offs --biggest danger there is hydroplaning.

We can handle a 6-8" rain without catastrophic damage. About 12-15 years ago, we had 14" in one day. That did cause a few small bridges to be undercut and the water was gushing out of the fields bigtime (I was driving back from Virginia that day).

It's nothing like the problem that hilly or mountainous areas have and this has been spread out over days. It's hard to flood a pool table (but a hurricane can do it).
