That's pretty cool.

The article, BTW, is only tangentially about sugar though it spends most of the time discussing it. It's really about how bad many epidemiological studies using the UK Biobank are.

Once a researcher like the main person comes up with a method for pulling data and (not stated in the article) couples that with AI, he can turn out article after article that sound exciting in headlines, get cited often in scholarship (even if it's to say it's BS, the citation count will be high which is mostly what counts in tenure and funding decisions) and be junk.

It's the science equivalent of low-value SEO content.
