Well executed script, but I hate page flipping scripts with a vengeance.
Have you ever watched people trying to use them? Worse case they stare and get no-where. Best case they just "oooh and ahh" over the effect and ignore the content.  The few people who do understand how to use it and aren't distracted by it then get to experience a less intuitive and more fiddly on-screen experience.

That particular script does at least have the decency to fallback to quite useable back/forth navigation one you click around with frustration.  In fact, once it stops knobbing about pretending to be something it isn't it is actually fairly usable.

We may all be forced to get used to this style of navigation to accomodate touch screen users.

It's not just iPad - Windows 8 will be touchscreen compatible out of the box and Samsung already has prototype Series 7 laptops that ship with touchscreen. I think swiping your finger across the monitor to move to the next page will become very common in the next few years.

There are plenty of UI options that serve both mouse and touch users far better than trying to mimic a 6000 year old technology.

In that particular implementation, I had a lot of trouble going backwards until I realized that the "Feedback" bar conflicts with the page turning, so if the cursor is below the feedback bar, it won't give you a page turn option. Ironic.
