Hey guys,

I'm currently thinking about moving all my domains to a single account at 123reg (as I'm from the UK).
Should I move them so I have all my domains under one roof or just leave them where they are? (they are mainly at godaddy)

What do you guys do and are there any pros and cons you can enlighten me that I may not have thought about for either way?

Cheers :)

I keep my domains with two registrars. When I buy a domain that's registered somewhere else, I transfer it to one or the other at the earliest opportunity.

I like the administrative ease of keeping my domains together, but it would make me nervous to have ALL my domain assets "under one roof". Two registrars is a good number for me.

Having any domains with 123 Reg! Unless they're improved radically over the last 18 months, my advice is to avoid them. They used to be great. They're not anymore. Heart Internet are cheap and pain-free.

Couldn't agree more! We moved all our domains away from 123-reg a few years ago after having one too many problems with their tech support. If it was a choice between 123-reg and Heart, then Heart would win everytime.

Why do I feel I've just opened pandora's box?

For me I've had no problems with 123reg. Is it just the support that's questionable?

Yeah - support not great.

I moved most of mine from 123 and Heart (worse than 123) to DomainMonster.

Domainmonster support has been exemplary so far.

Does any ISP actually have good support? ;)

About a year ago I switched to fabulous.com and have not looked back. No BS / No upsells. Whenever I get a new domain I transfer it over. Free privacy. So either fake whois / real whois or private.
