Blimey, I had not realised he was after so much real estate.

Heather, I am sure you could get you Nick back.. if you really wanted it  ::)
... Make sure you live before you die.

Ah this is the 'big thing' that was announced on Cre8, after his taking over SEOChat and Cre8 (including Kim K-B hehe).

SC has still not had its own (promised) major overhaul tho, so those of you frequenting WMW shouldn't hold your breath either - methinks.

Brad

Been a long time since I've been to WMW.  I never thought Brett would part with it.

Interesting. I don't know much more than what's been publicly announced. It sounds like they want to keep the place pretty much the same though.

What next - buying all half secret forums?  ;D

Brad

I'm wondering what Boykin will do with all those forums.  Is the benefit to him branding and exposure?

Wonder what the mods cut will be  ;D.?  Quite a few years ago there were supposed to be shares and payouts made.  I still haven't seen a penny, but did get a few lunches out of pubcon.

There seems to be a lot of money in conferences as there seems to be more of them sprouting up that I keep getting pitched to attend via various fb groups and online forums.  Maybe I should start a beachcon.com webmaster conference for those that want to come to tropical island and talk shop before heading out for a fine evening.

>Maybe I should start a beachcon.com webmaster conference for those that want to come to tropical island and talk shop before heading out for a fine evening.

That works. Trust me on this.

>I still haven't seen a penny,

And you never will. Hell, if Brett could charge you to be a moderator there he would.

grnidone

>a beachcon.com webmaster conference

I love that idea!  Which island?

littleman

>Wonder what the mods cut will be?

Ouch!  Considering that about half his original staff is here...

Off the top I have to say that the conferences will be a lot less of a draw without WMW for their sounding board.

eljefe3

>Ouch

Hehe, yeah I know so that's why I threw it out there as there will be none of the promised.

Beachcon.com-- taken by a contractor called beach contractors.
Beachcon.org--Some sort of gamer site.
Beachcon.net-- Available.

I remember a few years back there was a webmasters in the sun conference which was for progressive marketers in the affiliate space and every year it was held at different venues and ended up in a lot of deals being put together.
