Been looking through the boards but only found a 2 year old thread - have things changed much since? Anybody with recent experience using 2Checkout? I intend to use it for a digital services site I am launching as an alternative to Plimus I had been using on all my other sites as I'm not particularly happy with it lately, and what they say on the site suits me pretty much. Can anything go wrong?

Is it going to be a recurring payment?
Stripe is getting a lot of love at the mo

Both a one-time option and a recurring option

I can't really comment on 2Checkout as I have never used them, but their prices do seem high which why I've avoided them recently. Braintree's another one I've eyed up.

I've been using 2Checkout for the past two years, selling subscriptions on www.ranks.nl

I like them. No complaints, do miss statistical overviews (ie sales per month, avg sales value etc).
I coded my own overviews based on the raw data.

Their iphone app does have some overviews and charts.

They provide phone support to customers which I like, they cancel subscriptions when asked and pass messages to us when needed.

OK so I gave it a try and here's my verdict. Extremely difficult to get a hold of their support, poor tracking by the support of what's going on with an account application, they took two weeks to review my application losing the details and me having to resend them again only to say they think my business model is too risky (it's only SEO services of a certain kind, nothing sketchy). So instead of wasting time applying elsewhere I decided to just go with a known evil and stick to Plimus so I can already start selling the service.
