I'm looking for an email service provider to handle booking confirmation and abandoned cart emails. So at the moment, 100% triggered and no mass mailings. This is primarily about maximizing deliverability.

Requirements are:

. To be able to securely post recipient and email body content to the email templates.
. No barriers to producing responsive emails.
. Sending from my own subdomain.

Looking professional is key. Low cost would be a huge bonus! Any suggestions?

Amazon SES, once set up with DKIM and SPF is very hard to beat on ease of use, access, deliverability and cost.

They're not perfect and if they sniff spam will drop you like a hot potato but short of setting up and maintaining your own clean IP pool this is the best out there.

That looks perfect for my needs. Thanks Jason.

I'm no-where near as experienced with this as Jason, but in case you need some other options to look at then sendgrid and mandrill are worth a gander.

Matt, you're at least as experienced as me mate. In fact I'm pretty sure you have a few more grey hairs to prove it too :)

I also agree Sendgrid and Mandrill are superb alternatives, however would suggest, for great deliverability you don't use either of their free services. That's not because their services are bad but simply because, due to real world economic constraints, the free services go over a small IP range and the freebies have been abused heavily meaning the IPs are tainted and generally don't inbox.

The paid services are on much cleaner IPs and ideally it's worthwhile to get a dedicated IP address with either of them.
