Definitely a reason to avoid Android in the future.  Your own phone listening in on your conversations.

Your smart tv and thermostats will have already recorded and distributed every nuance of your life, anyway.

They do the listening part. If they didn't they wouldn't know if you were calling for siri/cortana/google etc.
Clever move. Much of what I now use daily was creepy as hell when I first saw it . like many I just keep raising the bar on creepy

Google Now is on to something with it's predictive personal assistant. Too bad its Google doing it.  Now on Tap and the whole listening in bit is creepy.  If one could trust the privacy it might be interesting but I can see this being abused in the future.

Siri and Blackberry Assistant seem dated without the predictive capability. Can't speak about Cortana since I've never used it.
