>I submit it to a local general motor video site.
I figured it was something like that, not a lot of searches for dirt riding.

Thanks for the tips on the music, I didn't know there was no copyright issue if you're not monetizing. I'll be making my new vids more entertaining. ;-)

Quoteno copyright issue if you're not monetizing

That statement is NOT accurate.

Damian

>That statement is NOT accurate.
possibly.. it may be more complicated, but I'm not aware of that.
Can you elaborate ?

Youtube channels have an indication of their standing and the number of "Copyright strikes",
With 30+ public videos using copyrighted music my account is indicated to be in 'Good standing' on all accounts.
The exact number of 'Copyright strikes' is not indicated but also says "Good standing". .as far a I know it means zero strikes.

The email one gets after using copyrighted music is usually something like this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Your video "Transalp 650 offroad: Hoogtij + De Kuil.", may have content that is owned or licensed by The Orchard Music, but it's still available on YouTube! In some cases, ads may appear next to it.

This claim is not penalizing your account status. Visit your Copyright Notice page for more details on the policy applied to your video.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes I get no email at all but still the same principles seem to apply.

Looks lovely.  Better colour than mine :)

I see a Triumph tiger there too I think .

Thanks. I was told yesterday by a non-rider that I looked like a Power Ranger. hehe

Rupert

Yes, I see where they get the idea from.

Is that a camera mounted on the front?

Drastic

Yeah, it's a gopro. I put it on all my powersports stuff.

I probably won't upload a video of this run, I was a bit slow being my first time. Plus it has a bad vibration jello effect which I've not run into much yet. The kit comes with a vibration reducer that is supposed to help. I'm going to try it out on my next ride.

Well, I tore my rotator cuff about 6 months ago, so I sent my bike up North, so my old man could at least ride it during the (brief) summer up in PA, so I've been pretty well grounded down here sidelined.

I did happen to see this, and even though the music is tacky, well, if I had flames coming out of my bike, well, that'd just be badass...

Its been fantastic summer in the UK, if short.   I had a blast Sunday morning with Sue on the back, up round the roads of Derbyshire.

Out this am again, and I HAVE to go out tonight as well. Its going to be a long cold winter, so Chuckford, have you got one?

If not, you need to know there is a real financial incentive...  much cheaper than a car :)

I have one, a Hornet 600. The little beast keeps calling my name but I'm struggling to find time to go out on it - Got two demanding kids, a new business and a misses who moans that I don't spend enough time with her, it's a skilled job I have you know :P

I might actually sell it next year. But then I keep looking at bigger bikes. Wouldn't mind a a Triumph Tiger next and go round Europe on it. But then I really would be in the dog house :(

Just a girl you met in a pub  :)

Have you told her the bus driver story?

Rupert

A a hornet is lovely.  Light agile...

Whatever you do, don't sell, it will be years before you get one back.  work out some way of the more miles you do, the cheaper it is, and then you have an excuse to go on the bike.

Before long, you get on it naturally again, and only trips that need 3 people do you take the car.

Works for me.
