Travoli has done a cross-country trip last year and he & I have been comparing notes. Trav is right, using Vegas as a cheap airport hub for an epic redneck roadtrip tour of some of the country's most incredible  national parks makes sense.  We'll run it by NFFC while in VN and report back.

But a National Parks tour would be pretty easy to get her to sign on for. And if it were to be in Yosemite... we can help with planning ;-)

As a native Vermonter who has never done anything except change planes in the South (unless you count a few days in Miami), that's pretty much how I see The South - would not include Texas or most of the east coast of Florida (a friend who's father relocated there in retirement from New York says everyone he meets is from New York).

Ahh, the A-Team has started to assemble.

Trav says Moab, Zion, Grand Canyon, etc.  I've done it before, it's both spectacular and alien. But it's a hard-driving tour. You'd be ridden hard and put up wet for 6 or 7 days straight. Probably cover 2k miles.
