I've mentioned Ooma Business VOIP before

I was an early-adopter of their residential system. Last year, they discontinued maintaining the firmware for the old hardware I had and sold me its replacement at a steep discount.  After 13 months of nicely waiting for me to get around to installing it, they finally killed the MAC number and forced me to do it. Ok, ok, ok!

It was a smooth plug-n-play. But while digging around in the dashboard I notice a "Google Voice Extension."  This masks the outgoing number of the home voip as the assigned GV number.  Pretty slick!

Very nice!

We use call tracking numbers for inbound so we call out on random cell numbers which helps mask a bit. Just bought a link2cell kit that will allow us to take calls on various cordless phones in the office instead of just one mobile, something I didn't know existed.

Link?

One of the reasons I went with Ooma back when they were just starting out is that their box could jack into legacy hardwired phone systems.  I'm powering 3 old-style portable handsets over the old phone wires. Ooma has remote handsets but they ain't as cheap as those good ol' Panasonics for $13-ish a set.
