On Christmas Eve Jaguar hosting decided to upgrade the PHP version on this server and made it incompatible with the version of SMF we were running.  It took a while to get the board up again.  We're using the default theme for now because the old theme was not compatible with SMF 2+.  There are still quirks I'm working out.  Sorry again!

Edit: My wife says I should say something holly and jolly so...

I hope you had a Holiday season filled with joy!

Strange time to upgrade PHP. Thanks for getting things running again, LM. Merry Christmas!

This is classic Jaguar.

Then again, another host did the same thing to us on an e-commerce site during a busy period. No warning. I guess that's the flipside to running a VPS on your own.

Thanks for the understanding guys.  I am working on getting the functionality back first, then maybe I'll mod the theme if you all think it is a good idea.  I just figured out a way to get "recent topics" back.

buckworks

I'm sure glad things are back. It makes me realize (again) how much I value this place!

Happy Boxing Daty and Happy New Year!

Are you otherwise happy with Jaguar?

If not, what does this site require in terms of disk space and DB size?

And thanks for all your work to keep this running. It's my island of sanity on a web gone insane.

Brad

Thanks for doing all that work over your holidays and for maintaining the site throughout the year, littleman.

>>sanity

Ergo nailed it for me, this seems like the only sane place left which makes me appreciate it all the more.

>happy with Jaguar?

Not entirely, but I haven't been happy with any hosting company I've ever used.  They're not at the bottom of my list.  The server upgrade was a pain, but the server we've been on has been pretty reliable the last couple of years.

>the only sane place left

A forum is only as food as it's user base.  We are a small group, but there are a lot of outstanding people here.

Thanks John!
A very merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you, your family and everyone in th3Core!

Yes, thanks for running it, getting it going again, and a "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"  (Fav quote: Santa)

Just off for a weeks Skiing... so hope to be back.
