Dean is a great marketer, I like him to pieces for being the great marketer that he is.

But... Writing easily understood content is good for all versions of search.  Voice Search, where the results are spoken back, those results are currently very limited.

There's also a new program for something like three specific categories right now and that's aimed for Google Home and IoT applications. Thus, recipes is going to be a part of that.

Google Voice stuff tends to be focused on understanding voice input. Really, if you read up about this, it just makes what Dean said about it look more and more irrelevant.

The algo is trying to understand what a page is about- regardless if the query is spoken and if the query is going to be spoken back. What's important is answering questions. So whether you make it easy doesn't matter for voice search. It matters for the algo in general and also for your audience.

Why make it difficult, right? If someone with a seventh grade reading level can comprehend it then so can an algo. Spoon feed your content straight from the Gerber bottle.
