Microsoft's Mail app will automatically open web links in Edge, even for users who've set a different browser as their default.

Surely this will have the effect of making people realise how bloody awful the mail app is and switch.

What is the Edge browser?

Has anyone actually seen one?

I think I heard an unconfirmed rumor that some elderly guy in a cabin in Montana, cut off from all news of the outside world, was using a thing called an "edge" browser. Have there been any confirmed sightings of such a thing in civilized society?
