Coming from Calif, it probably seems like pastoral countryside. But when I visited a couple of weeks ago, the traffic was pouring out of Raleigh and filling up all your now-too-small roads.  I had to wait in fucking line for fucking 5 minutes to cross one single-lane intersection.  I hate to say it, but you're gonna be deeeep in the 'burbs within a couple of years.

I guess when you come from somewhere that 5 mins used to be 45 mins, this is a boon. I am cussing at the influx almost daily.

I can remember when I was an auto damage appraiser, about 20 years ago, as long as I hit the road before 10-10:30a, I could make good time. Anything in daylight is laughable now.
