I had a small moment of glory in a small-town restaurant because of this thread.

I was the only woman in the morning coffee crowd, and a bunch of farmers were discussing the Tesla truck. There was an opening for me to casually mention that the 500 mile range was pretty impressive.

All the old geezers were surprised and impressed that I knew anything about it! :)

I have serious doubts that any of the old Big 3 will get the EV tech right.  They also have the dealership legacy dragging them down --and pumping up the price.

My gut tells me that the average pickup truck buyer wants a truck that looks like a truck. Especially if you have a job that requires a large truck, such as branch manager of a regional bank.

When you layer on Tesla pricing, I think the market becomes small quickly.
