I met the guy a couple times. Seemed like a young, cocky prick to me.

Ha!  He sold his company for $75M then got to still run it as CEO.  I bet there was a sweet severance package too.

I never really understood this. From what I saw and what I knew of the company they didn't really have anything really proprietary. They were great at selling stuff on Amazon which definitely has value. But they had no unique products or anything like that. Just a bunch of stuff you can get 20 different places.
