Germany Says Latest Undersea Cable Cut a 'Wake-up Call' - The Moscow Times

This one makes me hot.  I'm having to remind myself that the swear filter is off.

Who in their right mind would ever, ever think that undersea cables & pipelines wouldn't be among the first be targets?!?!  Hell, they're just lying there -miles and miles of exposure with saboteurs conveniently cloaked by bodies of water.

It's an awfully big attack surface. I can see your pessimism.

And what happens if they catch someone doing it? We protest most adamantly?

"Royal Navy Nuclear Submarine Surfaced Next To Russian Spy Ship To Send A Clear Message - The Russian spy ship Yantar, accused of mapping underwater infrastructure, was back in U.K. waters this week."

"the Yantar has, in recent months, been “mapping the U.K.’s critical underwater infrastructure,” at a time when NATO, in general, is increasingly concerned about apparent sabotage to undersea cables. "
