Inner Core and Regular Member clarification.
« on: January 15, 2011, 10:16:27 PM »
The Core forums are split into two sections, we have a private part called the Inner Core and an open to the public section, or our main board. Anyone is free to join the main board of our forum. Posting rights to the Inner Core need to be earned.
The Rules for Inner Core entry:

    * member must make 50 quality posts
    * member must be known personally by at least one IC member
    * member must not be an employee of any company which is a source of traffic we discuss (i.e., Google, Facebook, etc.)
    * member must be generally helpful and trustworthy
    * member must be active in the Core for at least two months
    * members must stay active, 6 months of inactivity will cause a IC member to be bumped down just regular membership status.

These rules are fixed and universal, so if you want to see behind the magic curtain, you know what to do.

The concept of an inner core is a great one.

But may I humbly suggest it would be even better if there was also a fake inner core where senior members joyfully welcome you inside...

...and then you get shot in the back of the head.

what makes you think we don't have that already  ;)
I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible. But, pissing everyone off is a piece of cake!

Most vitamins are packed right in the bit under the skin.
Most people throw the core away.
Hmm.

The number of times I see people trying to overcome the post limits on my own forums - I don't think I can come up with any lame attempt we haven't already seen too often.

Anyway, as I actually wanted to ask a question here, will hang around a bit and just post as normal. I guess that was the plan. I suspect Gertie was involved. :)

I added a new condition to IC requirements, I'll be pruning the inactive soon.
