My experience at the grocery store is that outrageously overpriced gluten-free stuff is still in plentiful supply.

But so are chips. No shortages there. It reminds me of one of my favorite Onion headlines ever, from back when it was still a print-only local newspaper in Madison: "Nation's Soft Drink Supplies Strong"

I found the article on The Onion website after all these years. I'm not sure if I wasn't searching for the right thing (soft drink instead of soda) or something else. It was posted in 1998, but it kind of has the look of something that was dredged up from the print version (I had left Madison by 1998, so I saw it earlier).

Anyway, without further ado, one of my favorite Onion articles which holds up well after 25+ years... truly America's Finest News Source
