My ecwid.com cart integration idea just went South, when the 'user uploading their own file' functionality could only be uploaded from a desktop, and not a file we generate online.... I thought we could 'hack it' there, so I could hook up my "t-shirt builder" and just pass the info over from my 'cart' to their 'order pipeline. I also wanted to offer other products that the person wanted to buy at the same time.
In short, I need a cart that allows me to add a file from a URL, and a $ amount on the fly... and I'm on WP, my "t-shirt builder" is a plugin.... theoretically, we are so close to a simple solution it's killing me. Ecwid had all the other functionality I wanted. We spent hours today looking for a hack or way in, but you have to load the products through the admin panel.
I think I need to step back and look at this different. I can generate a PDF, or an image of the itemized invoice, and I know the price... maybe I'm not looking for a cart... maybe I'm looking for 'gift card' software(?) or confusingly similar 'greeting card' builders or something that allows users to upload their own artwork. Then we could just post into that.
Any thoughts?
Any ideas? I just spotted the weakness today, and there appears no work around yet, because of the nature of its cloud hosted design.
