its even better now Rupert 1,963,309 have signed :)

the bee's are indeed part of the eco system and it has been said that man can't survive without them which is maybe not quite true but we still depend on bee's for the pollination for quite a lot of the food which we eat

« on: January 30, 2013, 07:05:32 AM »
1,643,470 have signed the petition. Help us get to 2,000,000

billions of bees are dying, threatening our crops and food. But in 48 hours the European Union could move to ban the most poisonous pesticides, and pave the way to a global ban that would save bees from extinction.

if we reach 2 million, we can persuade the EU to get rid of these crazy poisons and pave the way for a ban worldwide.

Christmas starts for me when I change my ring tone to fairy tail of New York and watch toy story and terminator 2 on TV on the same night :)

get absolutely pissed once a year which was Friday night and a Kebab on the way home then spend the following day slipping in and out of a coma catching up on my sleep

« on: December 17, 2012, 07:15:46 PM »
upgraded my phone yesterday and the contract I am on means I could of changed to any phone free of charge, had the choice of iphone 4 or 5 or the Samsung galaxy S3

its not that often I get excited about a product and granted its early days but the galaxy S3 is the best phone I have ever had dating back to my first phone in 1989

WOW so instead of addressing the problem they make you put a sign on the house, the UK is very strict with building requirement and even more so with fire regulations, we use different coloured plasterboards, green red blue and grey

green plasterboard = moisture resistant for walk in showers, bathrooms etc
red/pink plasterboard (fireboard) = fire resistance
blue plasterboard = acoustic plasterboard
grey plasterboard = normal board either 9mm or 12mm thick (various sizes) and skimmed for domestic purposes

we used to use 12mm plasterboard which gives half hour fire check and double boarding with 12mm gives 1 hour fire check, this is for encasing any steel or if its flats and you would double board the down stairs ceiling and skim the total area, this has now been changed to using the red/pink plasterboard but is still plastered with board finish to the total area

yeah the chipboard type RC, they have been in use for over 40 years in the UK that I know about, the down side is unless they are installed the same way as your plumbing etc your not allowed/suppose to bore any holes over a certain size but the type I used a couple of years ago as per the link are superb, a lot lighter in weight and will span further plus the depth can be reduced by fixing 2 together

This was crucial with the loft conversion I was working on as the head room was limited, it does not seem a lot but we saved 50mm in height which meant the building control officer was satisfied with the overall ceiling height, if we had used conventional timber joist or those cheap chipboard engineered wooden beams then we would not of achieved the headroom required
