I was an early-early adopter of Ooma VOIP for the house.  Louise was an early user of Google Voice forwarding to her cell phone for real estate business. Both do some screening. A couple of years after starting with these separate services, Ooma came up with a way to 'white label' your Ooma service with your G Voice number --so the Gvoice number now rings both the house and her phone.  And out-going calls from her cell phone show her GVoice number on the recipient's phone, so they don't add her direct cell number to their contacts.

I think the double-screening must filter out most of them, as we get about 4 or 5 a week.  I also have call logs on the Ooma service and can review and block numbers.

If we keep messing around with G5s your app -and much, much more- might not be working.

'Vampire drone' can leech electricity from power lines to live forever

Debbie: Sooo, they could launch an assassin drone fitted out with the leeching feature in Ukraine and have it follow power lines to the Kremlin.

About 15 years ago, there was a fad of converting vehicles to burn vegetable oil. If you blend it with store-bought fuel, diesels were pretty easy.  But my good friend, King-Of-The-Land-Rovers, wanted to run 100% fast-food fryer oil in his 'commuter' LR 109. (Who the hell commutes in a Land Rover 109??!!)  Everything was fine in hot weather --and smelled of french fries.  But in cold weather, the veggie oil would congeal in the fuel lines.

Eventually, enough people collected from the fast food joints that the supply got scarce.  Managers started charging for the oil and that killed the fad.

I was thinking about the above supply issues when reading the article.  They're going to need to extract oils from sewage or some other mega-source.  ...Or cover the Midwest in rapeseed.
