>really interesting domain/kw data

Send me a PM in the New Year?

Have had it sitting around a while, I make some beer money off it but know some data is a pain to get at nowadays.

Perfect, will do. Thanks BoL, much appreciated!

BTW, anyone into domain or keyword data? Have 670M registered or previously registered domain names. About the same number of records of keywords with data for autosuggests, keyword volumes, cpc etc. Maybe we could do a th3core thing.

That would be really interesting as far as I'm concerned. I manage a few fairly decent sized Google Ads accounts so the keyword data would be really useful and we dabble in dropcatching .uk domains using our Nominet tag so the domain data would be ace as well.

Seeing the same patterns as you folks are for ecommerce sites. Across the board desktop conversions roughly double that of mobile with tablet dragging along at the bottom of the pile.

But from lead gen based sites the general rule is that mobile converts at treble that of desktop.

A good all-rounder resource for PPC is https://www.ppchero.com/ which covers Google Ads, FB, LinkedIn, etc.

Nick Clegg, who was Britain’s No. 2 leader from 2010 to 2015, has been hired to be Facebook’s top policy and communications executive.

So BRITS what say you?

Hilarious. Both popular in 2010 - not so much now so well suited it seems.

Clegg has a credibility problem in the UK over the last few years but when it comes to repelling senators and/or regulators he'll be a pro. A polished orator with skills honed in the UK political bear pit. He'll no doubt do well.

Noticed this last night - very strange. I've been getting the server error message searching on just "compare" also. Can't remember seeing Google reporting this for a search term before -

On all Win10 machines I've always put Malwarebytes on them. Works really well and the machines are still nippy running it.

Brexit is just too wide ranging a subject to have been broached in a simple yes/no referendum (which is technically not legally binding btw). Speak to 10 different people and they will likely give you 10 different reasons why they voted the way they did. It was ridiculous for the referendum to be presented in such a binary and finite way.

Add to the fact that that there seemed to be some dubious claims from the leave camp whilst campaigning which they seemingly won't be held accountable for in any meaningful way and you end up with a subject that nobody fully understands with no clear path forward.

>Die Antwoord

Edgy stuff, I see there's a reference to Aphex Twin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBS4Gi1y_nc (song starts at 4:00)

Must say I didn't expect to hear a loop from Selected Ambient Works by Aphex Twin in Die Antwoord. I like the Twin video for Come to Daddy as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-9UvrLyj3k (very odd).

For anyone who loves a bit of loud guitar Rory Gallagher is the business. This one from one of his Irish tours in the late 70's is ace

First solo starting at 1:56... wow.

At least in the near future the 'Last updated' can be mapped to historical scrapes of WHOIS
Yeah that's true. If you've got a good source of historic whois in the first place  ;)

The new policy also makes a bit of a mockery of the PRSS - https://registrars.nominet.uk/namespace/uk/registration-and-domain-management/query-tools/prss

Web Development / Nominet whois changes now rolled out
« on: May 22, 2018, 08:56:02 AM »
Starting from today the .uk registry Nominet are no longer showing registrant name and contact details as default in the Whois.

Previously they allowed individuals to opt out from showing their details but it was mandatory for businesses and other organisations. Now all registrant contact details are hidden by default unless a registrant explicitly requests that their details are shown in the whois database.

I've tried searches at several of the large tag holders and I'm yet to see a registrant name showing for any domain as yet.

Clearly a GDRP inspired process put in place by Nominet but this seems like a retrograde step in my opinion. It was always very useful checking the legitimacy of a site by looking at the Whois, now any wannabe scammer is going to gravitate towards .uk so they can stay anonymous.

Not to mention the additional workload that will inevitably be placed on tag holders when members of the public field requests to the tag holder for registrant information, etc.

Not impressed!

Surely there's only one option to choose there

I thought so too but then I saw loads of chat on Twitter asking about the preferred setting so I wondered if I was missing something because it seems very obvious which setting to choose. Perhaps I shouldn't be following these people on Twitter  :D

I've been looking at this recently as well. What's the consensus on the time time frame to select?
