I never understood why a mobile app version was never utilised.
Mobile devices are practically attached to every human on planet earth so will be easily accessible, and surely would have cost less to develop, and had more reach than a physical button that needed a lot of forethought and hassle in obtaining.

Perhaps we will get some new politics in the UK as parties may need to split.

This is what happens when you leave it to bumbling private school boys (and girls) who sleep on the benches of parliament and go hear, hear now and again.

I'm not really trying to use it as a main machine. The impetus for this was having an issue arise on a trip where I had brought only my phone and was trying to type and organize. Mostly it was a bunch of email and communication and I wanted something better for typing.

I was using Terminus on my phone, but didn't really do it. I have a Chrome app for SSH that seems okay for what little I've used it. I can also, of course, SSH in from my Linux shell as well. If it's public/private key auth, then that wouldn't be too painful.

It was something I wanted to try and do as back then I had enough of Windows and I've sold my soul to Google.
Needless to say, as a quick out and about system yea, it works, but 'back at base' I've fully embraced Linux and wish I did it sooner! :)

I went a month trying to use an ASUS flip C213 as my main machine.
But I couldn't do it. The change was too much. I was finding myself spending way too long finding alternatives and forcibly changing my workflow which most of the time I couldn't do anyway as the software wasn't out there. So most of the time I was logging into my machine using Chrome remote desktop at home to do certain tasks.

Saying that though, I could use it as a temp solution e.g. when popping out to a meeting, or on a long train ride as the portability and battery life is top notch.
Also being able to use Android on the Chromebooks was a blessing (that was one of the main reason for getting the C213, plus the 1080 screen).
For example, I couldn't get on with Terminus so I used JuiceSSL instead - https://juicessh.com/

If article 50 was cancelled (more than likely at the 11th hour IMO), would it all go back to how it was before, or has the UK lost any privileges it had before i.e. veto's

Majority? it was practically a 50/50 split. The referendum should have had a threshold, to define a clear majority.

Water Cooler / Re: UKers, please define: commercial refuse bag
« on: August 03, 2018, 02:44:46 PM »
So apparently there are more restrictions on carrying a commercial waste bag in your vehicle in the UK than on carrying a firearm in your vehicle in the US.

I have no further comment.

lol, quote of the day, love it.

>commercial waste bags

Right. But what makes it a designate commercial waste bag?  You have to get special ones and a license?

They're normally a colour other than black and have the wording trade waste or similar printed on them, so when they go to the landfill or it's picked up they can be easily checked

The headline is a bit misleading, surprise, surprise.
It was because he didn't have a licence to have the commercial waste bags.
